PANASONIC PHONE CATEGORIES:

1. Panasonic KX-DT300 Series "Digital Wired" Phones (Used with KX-TDA, KX-TDE, & KX-NCP Series PBXs)

2. Panasonic KX-NT300 Series "VoIP Network" Phones (for use with KX-TDE & KX-NCP Series PBXs)

3. Panasonic Integrated "PBX Cellular" Phones (for use with KX-TDA, KX- TDE, & KX-NCP Series PBXs)
Panasonic PPC Phones - The Panasonic KX-TD7695, KX-TD7694, KX-TD7690, KX-TD7685, KX-TD7684, and KX-T7D680 "Cellular" style phones, are for use with the KX-TAW848, KX-TDA, KX-TDE and KX-NCP series phone systems. 12. Panasonic KX-T7400 and KX-T7200 Series Legacy Telephones ... 
Panasonic KX-T7400 & KX-T7200 Series - Panasonic KX-T7400 and KX-T7200 Series Proprietary Telephones are no longer manufactured.  They were replaced by the KX-T7700 Series. 

Important information when determining whether you can use a KX-T7700 Series phone in place of a KX-T7400 or KX-T7200 Series phone:

KX-TD816/1232 Users:
If you have a KX-TD816 or KX-TD1232 PBX system with KX-T7400 or KX-T7200 Series Phones...

All KX-TD816 and KX-TD1232 systems used what are known as "Digital Hybrid" extension ports.  Digital Hybrid means that it could accommodate any 2-wire, KX-T7400 or KX-T7200 Series Digital Telephone (*), any 2-wire single line analog telephone or any 4-wire proprietary multiline analog telephone (like out KX-T7700 Series).

KX-TD500 Users:
If you have a KX-TD500 PBX system with KX-T7400 or KX-T7200 Series Phones...

KX-TD500 systems were built to order, card-slot based systems.  They used a variety of circuit cards so that you could mix and match as needed.  KX-T7700 series telephone will work on the KX-TD500 system provided they are connected to a circuit on any one of the following types of cards: DHLC8 (P/N: KX-TD50170, HLC8 (P/N: KX-T96170) and PLC8 (P/N: KX-T96172).

KX-TD308 Users:
If you have a KX-TD308 PBX system with KX-T7400 or KX-T7200 Series Phones...

KX-TD308 systems shipped from the factory equipped with 8 Digital extension ports.  4 of the 8 ports were "Digital Hybrid" ports and the other 4 were "Digital-Only" ports.  Digital Hybrid means that it could accommodate any 2-wire, KX-T7400 or KX-T7200 Series Digital Telephone (*), any 2-wire single line analog telephone or any 4-wire proprietary multiline analog telephone (like our KX-T7700 Series).  In order to use KX-T7700 series on the other 4 ports, an option cards must be installed.  This card is no longer available.

If you are reading this about the KX-TD308, KX-TD816, KX-TD1232 or KX-TD500, it means that you should consider upgrading to a newer model PBX.  In most cases, you can keep all of your old phones and your voice mail.  Please call a KX-TD.com representative to learn more.
