Cellular 2.4GHz System Wireless
For use with KX-TAW848, KX-TDA, KX-TDE and KX-NCP series phone systems. Cellular 2.4GHz wireless telephones use 2.4GHZ Cell Stations for their signaling. Therefor they have the potential for interference from wireless networks and other wireless devices. The 2.4GHz series is discontinued, but available in limited quantities.

Standard 2.4GHz System Wireless
For use with all Panasonic phone systems. The KX-TD7896 and older versions of the 2.4GHz wireless telephones are tied to their own base stations and have the potential for interference from wireless networks and other wireless devices. When 1 or 2 cordless telephones are needed and will be used in a limited space free from wireless interference, the KX-TD7896 is a good option.

Single Line Wireless Telephones
Single Line Wireless telephones can be used without a phone system or can be connected to single line analog ports. They lack the features you would have with System Wireless telephones.
