Residential

RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS appreciate the special care that we take in assessing their needs. Often times, we integrate wired and wireless solutions within the same property. We also offer off-premise extensions for vacation homes and remote offices. If you are building or remodeling, now is the time to start planning. If you had thought about installing a "built-into-the-wall" intercom system ... STOP!!! Use the money that you would have spent on that, toward a Panasonic Telephone System which already includes a much better intercom. The ability to add fully integrated wireless telephones is huge. In fact, we even have solutions for large estate-type homes, that are normally too spread out to take advantage of wireless communications. No matter how large the property is, we can provide total coverage by using small strategically located access points - much like roaming on a cell phone. Residential applications most easily be categorized by the size of the property, i.e., Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large. Below are just a few examples of what a typical system would include and the breakdown by size is of course, approximate:

SMALL: Typically under 3,000 square feet with 1 or 2 analog phone lines and 8 phones or less. There are normally phones in the kitchen, family room, 3 bedrooms, laundry room and perhaps a garage phone. Small homes can usually get by with our entry-level, KX-TA824 analog system on the simple side or the KX-TDA50 on the more feature-rich side.

MEDIUM: Typically between 3,000 & 5,000 square feet with 1 or 2 analog phone lines and between 8-16 phones. There are normally phones in the kitchen, family room, 4-5 bedrooms, master bath, laundry room, gym and garage. There is usually at least 1 or 2 wireless phones for the inside of the home and possibly the pool or cabana area. Medium size systems tend to lean toward the KX-TDA50. However, if there is any need for VoIP - either Outside Lines or Off-Premise Extension (such as a vacation home), the better choice would be the NCP500

LARGE: Typically between 5,000 & 7,000 square feet with 4 phone lines or less and anywhere 10 & 20 phones and possibly a fax. There are normally phones in the kitchen, den or library, great room or living room, family room, 5-7 bedrooms, most bathrooms, laundry room, gym. theater, garage(s), Usually, there are several wireless phones for the inside of the home and possibly the pool or cabana area if applicable. Large systems tend to lean more toward the KX-NCP500 or NCP1000 since it offers all of the features needed and is built with this particular size in mind. Many times, these large system applications will include a Home-Office with separate phone lines just for the business. Adding a Voice Processing System sorts that all out by answering the business lines in the business name.

EXTRA LARGE: Typically anything over 7,000 square feet with any number of phone lines shared between the homeowner, staff and sometimes a business. The total count of telephones is usually 20 and above plus a fax. There are normally phones in the kitchen, den or library, great room or living room, family room, 6 bedrooms or more, most bathrooms, laundry room, gym, theater, garage(s), staff living quarters, guest house bedrooms and guest house kitchenette. Usually, there are several wireless phones for the inside of the home and possibly the pool or cabana area where applicable. Extra Large systems tend to lean more toward the KX-NCP1000 or KX-TDE100/200 whenever there is home automation hardware involved. Besides size, which is obvious, the other differences between Large and Extra Large systems are the versatility issues between the NCP series and the TDE series. The NCP Series is more compact and has a more finite maximum capacity. The TDE Series is one that can continue to expand by moving most (if not all) installed cards to larger cabinets shoudl the need arise. Both Large and Extyra Large systems are often part of a Network of PBX's. For instance ... a homeowner might have a need for more than one home and thereby want multiple, stand-alone systems each connected to the other via an Internet Gateway for seamless intercom dialing between any extension in any location. Centralized Voice Mail allows for easy access to messages, regardless of which location the homeowner is at.
