To start with, the system is initially configured to support 3 CO lines and 8 extensions; it can grow to a maximum configuration of 8 CO lines (2 more than the KX-TA624) and 24 extensions. It comes with a pre-installed Caller ID Card for the first 3 CO lines. Some of the new features are:
Extension Caller ID: the system supports Caller ID to single line telephones.
Windows Based PC Programming: provides easy to use configuration options for onsite programming with the built in RS232 or USB ports, or it can be used remotely with the KX-TA824 built-in modem card.

6 CO X 24 Exts - Base cabinet + -(1) TA82483 ( 3X8 expansion card ) + -(1) TA82470 ( 0X8 expansion card )
8 CO X 24 Exts - Base cabinet + -(1) TA82483 ( 3X8 expansion card ) + -(1) TA82481 ( 2X8 expansion card )
Note: Be advised that other combinations will not work. You cannot install a TA82481 (2X8 card) with a TA82470 (0X8 card) on the same system.
